From the requirements of dimensional accuracy, positional accuracy, shape accuracy, and smoothness of various parts of the cylinder head, most of the surfaces and holes have low requirements and can be achieved through conventional milling, drilling, boring, twisting, and tapping methods. However, there are four difficulties. The camshaft hole and valve seat guide hole system require high precision, and it is difficult to meet the requirements using conventional machining methods. The cylinder body joint surface also has certain difficulties due to high flatness requirements and large area. In order to meet the requirements of modern processing and efficient production, corresponding solutions are also needed. Under the conditions of improving production efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs, choosing hard alloy face milling cutters can no longer meet the demand for faster machining cycles. Based on the characteristics of milling engine cylinder blocks, Zhengzhou Bote independently developed PCBN integral sintered milling cutters for semi precision machining and precision machining of cylinder block assembly surfaces, which can achieve unparalleled workpiece surface quality. The milling cutter head carrying the blade is also carefully manufactured to meet the technical requirements of high-speed dry cutting, and the processing efficiency is 5 times higher than that of coated tools.
