The slurry pump is one of the indispensable equipment in the separation process of mineral processing and coal preparation plants. Its basic structure consists of an impeller, pump casing, pump shaft, and bearings. The power also includes an electric motor, coupling with a pair of wheels or belt pulleys, and wear-resistant parts such as lining plates and shaft sleeves. At present, about 80% of slurry pumps are used in the mining industry. Due to the harsh initial selection conditions of ore in beneficiation plants, the service life of slurry pumps is generally low in this section. Of course, different ores have varying levels of abrasion. If the relative abrasiveness is reduced in the concentrate transportation and other sections, the overall service life of the pump will be longer, such as the ash pump. Again, in the coal washing industry, due to different working conditions, larger coal blocks and coal gangue are prone to blockage. The design requirements for slurry pumps are very high, and only good products can be durable. Coarse and fine mechanical processing is needed in the pump cover, impeller, pump shaft, pump casing and other parts of the slurry pump to achieve assembly accuracy and make it more convenient to use. At present, 70% to 80% of domestic slurry pump production plants have adopted hard turning technology, and cubic boron nitride cutting tools are widely used in the field of hard turning. They have successfully solved the problems of processing deformation and low yield, eliminating the need for annealing and quenching processes, saving a lot of time and electricity, and also solving the processing problems caused by casting pores such as air holes and sand holes. The BTS2800 material newly developed by Zhengzhou Bote is polycrystalline cubic boron nitride, which has extremely high wear resistance, high blank cutting rate, and high impact resistance, and can withstand severe intermittent turning conditions.
